Tahini-tiny Christmas Puddings – Recipe

Gut-friendly and immune-boosting!

Makes around a dozen mini puds.

10 mins preparation | 30 mins setting time (optional)

Ingredients

  • ½ Unpeeled, Organic Granny Smith Apple – finely diced
    We use Granny Smith apples as they are high in pectin.
    Use any type, but it must be organic!
  • 30g Frozen Organic Wild Blueberries
    we use Bunalun – available in all large Tesco, Dunnes and Supervalu stores.
    Use any blueberries – but they must be organic!
  • 15g Organic Carob Powder
    Available in good health food stores (Nourish, The Hopsack) or online
  • 10g Organic Chia Seeds – freshly milled.
  • ¼ thumbnail of Fresh Ginger (grated)
  • ¼ tsp Cinnamon – ideally Ceylon
  • 50ml Organic Light Tahini – reserve a little for topping!

Method

  1. Combine all ingredients in a bowl – stir until thoroughly combined.
  2. Roll into small, walnut sized balls (about 12)
  3. Drizzle a little tahini over each pudding (we used a squeezy bottle with a nozzle!)
  4. Leave it in the fridge for 30 mins to set (optional)

Why the ingredients are good for dogs

We believe that fresh is best when it comes to a dog’s diet… variety really matters too! That is why these little puddings are super! They have a great variety of ingredients, not usually found in a dog’s daily diet!

Organic (unpeeled) Granny Smith Apple 
High in pectin which nurtures gut-friendly bacteria.

Frozen Organic Wild Blueberries 

  • Improves the gut microbiome
  • Can reduce inflammation
  • Rich in antioxidants

Organic Carob Powder
A source of gut-friendly pectin, polyphenols and fibre.

Organic Chia Seeds
These create a gel like substance, which lines the gut and helps to heal and soothe.

Fresh Ginger
Is and a carminative, great for digestion and boosts the immune system!

Cinnamon
Helps aid digestion and to remove unfriendly gut bacteria

Light Organic Tahini
High in zinc, which supports the immune system.
